Soroptimist International of Brea/La Habra, chartered in 1973, is a friendly, caring club of volunteers with a sense of community, committed to improving the lives of women and girls in our local communities and throughout the world.
Our focus
Why Only Women and Girls?
Soroptimist means “Best for Women” and that is what we strive to be, and as professional and business women, we feel we are definitely qualified to help women and girls reach their goals and live their dreams.
Although both men and women live in poverty and face discrimination, throughout the world it is women and girls who face additional obstacles and discrimination simply because they are female.
Soroptimist work together to empower and educate women and girls, helping them to achieve their goals and a higher quality of life for themselves and their families.

Education and training awards empowering women who are the primary financial support for their families to improve their education and skills.

Career support for teen girls helping them set goals, learn how to deal with setbacks and successes, and explore career opportunities.
Human Trafficking Awareness
Soroptimist International of Brea/La Habra is part of the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force. The organization also supports global advocacy through the UN, recognizing January 11 as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. High School Scholarships
Soroptimist International of Brea/La Habra honors students from Brea Olinda High School, La Habra High School and Sonora High School with scholarships. For more information and an application please contact your school counselor.
